Dear Editor,
Irwin Seltzer’s statement that ‘those at the top’ create all the wealth would be questionable at any time. In the context of financial catastrophe and economic meltdown it is frankly ridiculous.
Seltzer’s beloved bankers and entrepreneurs have just presided over the destruction of trillions of pounds of wealth. Before a single penny is cut from any public service we should demand back the money these unelected, unaccountable, profligate and irresponsible incompetents have received from the taxpayer.
What kind of economic system rewards mentally deficient wastrels for blighting the lives of millions then throws the victims of the mess- health and care workers, teachers, librarians- out of work?
