Dear Councillor Foley,

I have read of the campaign by residents of Old Town Swindon to keep open their much loved branch library and to retain their two part time librarians. The threatened closure of Old Town Library has become a national as well as a local issue.

I read this week in the Swindon Advertiser that you felt the situation had not been handled well. I believe that you have the opportunity to put that right.

I urge the Council to listen to the residents and find a way to save their library. It is possible given the will to make it happen.
